Annual Holiday Post

The Kenney Family - 2008

Like last year, we will do just one post to send out all our holiday greetings at once. So with that: We hope everyone had a wonderful, God-centered Christmas and New Years! We pray for many blessings for you all in 2009.

Our 2008 was so very blessed, it's nice to look back...

  • In April, by the providence of God, Jason's old Buick was stolen while at work and as a result God provided us the opportunity to buy his newER Toyota (the blessing is that it's in better shape and much better for commuting to Vallejo).

  • Over the summer God provided us with the opportunity to open our humble residence to a small group of people to do a study through When I Don't Desire God (we miss that study!)

  • In July we got to help my older sister move out on her own to her first apartment.

  • In August we were blessed to celebrate our very first anniversary while on a wonderful vacation in Disneyland.

  • In December, Jason was accepted to The Cornerstone Seminary - what a great Christmas present!

Looking ahead we both can imagine that 2009 is going to be a year of trials and tougher times for everyone - including us. With seminary starting in a number of days (an awesome blessing, but also a challenge)and furloughs eminent for both of us, its easy see why we all need to be relentless in prayer. We are joyfully trusting in God for His great providence, yet fully aware that things will be hard - and most likely get worse -as the ends days get closer.

We are so blessed to have such love from friends and family and look forward to a blessed year. 2009 - here we come!

In Him,

J&S
